Leading 56 total laps and navigating clutch late-race passes around Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell resulted in Shane van Gisbergen capturing his fifth NASCAR Cup Series victory of 2025 with his triumph at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval Sunday evening.

The victory is van Gisbergen’s fifth consecutive road-course win and his sixth overall in NASCAR’s premier series.

Joey Logano’s late pit from 13th with 11 laps to go gave him enough to make up positions in the final stint and claim the final transfer spot to the Round of 8 over Chastain. The No. 1 Trackhouse driver lost several positions on older tires in the closing moments, made contact with Denny Hamlin and drove over the start/finish line in reverse at the waving of the checkered flag.

The Cup Series Playoffs continue at Las Vegas Motor Speedway next Sunday (5:30 p.m. ET, USA Network, HBO Max, PRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, NBC Sports App).
